I think the layout can be improved by having fans making changes to the site. They should be the ones that give the input not the designers.
Clicking the team shield should take you someplace. It could take you to one page for the team or to the most useful page for that team.In the team, I think the team roster should be centered below the shield. I have no reason for this, it just seems off for me.I like the layout and the links to the teams actual homepage.
