GOLD

As we have talked in class about the differences in color in reference to web or print, one color that is one of the most varied among these two is gold. I wikipedia-ed (I am assuming can be used as a pop culture term) gold (color) and there are many variations to this color: satin sheen gold, old gold, pale gold, golden poppy, sunglow, golden yellow, and the list continues. For the web, gold can not be accurately produced because we can not see that shimmer element to the color. So, we use a more yellow gold. Paint is the most actual representation of gold because in earlier times real pieces of gold were mixed in with the paint to give it more reality. Now days, real gold isn't used anymore and is replaced with fine aluminum powder and pigment. This is still the best form because we can still see that shimmer.

Here is the website of the wikipedia site:

How about photographing something made of real gold and posting it on you site?
