I respect animals. I don't like it when someone makes them perform tricks that humans find oh so cute. It's demeaning to the animal's true nature. As interesting as this is, an elephant in its natural habitat would no sooner pick up a paintbrush to canvas than it would start up a baseball game if you gave it a ball. This exercise highlights the animal's keen intelligence, its fine motor skills (with a trunk no less) and its ability to be trained. I think we should all take up a collection to ship this wonderful animal back to the wild or a preserve where it can enjoy its full life as simply an elephant. (But thanks, it was fun to watch.)
